Take Down the US Flag, Too
June 20, 2015
Writes Ralph Raico:
Lew, Mitt Romney says that South Carolina should remove the Confederate flag from the state capitol, since it’s “a symbol of racial hatred to many.” That’s the gratitude he shows to the people of that state for giving him their electoral votes. I think there many millions around the world for whom the Stars and Stripes are a symbol of imperialism, oppression, and mass murder. Shouldn’t we respect their feelings as well?
