Love it, but I have to say that I don’t share his admiration for General Douglas MacArthur. There was absolutely no excuse for his having been caught flat-footed in the Philippines right after Pearl Harbor, and that combined stroke of genius and luck known as the Inchon Landing was just about the only thing he did right in Korea. Macgregor was an early enthusiast for the Iraq invasion, so we know that he can be wrong about things, but he’s capable of changing his mind and admitting when he is wrong.
The overall thrust of his critique of U.S. leadership fits very well with “Bad, Bad Uncle Sam,” I think.
