Boys State 2007
June 27, 2017
Writes a friend;
Lew,
I was a Boys State participant for Colorado in 2007. The legislature that we formed that week we were together legalized cannabis. I am still surprised how a group of hormonal teenage boys could better debate the topic of drug legalization than the grown men at the state level. In 2012 Colorado voters legalized recreational cannabis. When it comes to the future of whatever is left from the United States I hope that the young get a chance to influence local politics. At the 2012 CO state convention the youth were almost all Ron Paul supporters. They were ignored and so I don’t see them around anymore.
