I was absolutely disgusted by the PT video of US troops led by MacArthur, Eisenhower and Patton on order from “Commander in Chief” President Herbert Hoover burning the tents and possessions of the WWI veterans marching on Washington DC for their promised bonuses. The troops tear gas and thrust bayonets at the Bonus Marchers. I found a lot of videos of this shocking event on YouTube. Here is an extended clip of the heroic Smedley Butler (“War is a Racket”) addressing the abused vets:
