Writes Bill Madden:

The military hasn’t wanted tanks for many years but they continue to be built.  Why?  Because the production of the tanks involves subcontractors in almost every American state.  It’s a political decision, not a military decision.  We have been living in the age of missiles since late in the last century.  The tanks are coffins much like our naval vessels and everybody knows this but political donations contribute heavily to our government squandering.
