WWIII and the Battle of the Ballot
November 3, 2020
As WWIII rages in a new theater today at precincts across the country, veterans of recent battles share their tales of triumph and tragedy.
We begin with Vaughn in Texas, who
…was blown away on Halloween night!!! I had received an anonymous flyer in our mailbox about two weeks ago. It said that the neighborhood kids would be trick or treating around 6PM on Halloween night … So when the night arrived we were stocked up with treats. … At about 6:30 PM the kids came to our house in their adorable outfits and naked, beautiful, little faces. I didn’t see one mask on the kids or their parents who were close by watching out for their kids. The kids were just laughing and giggling, having a great time. This event made me smile to know that the parents were not putting up with all of the BS they have been fed about the shamdemic.
An anonymous friend in Jamaica, New York
recently had a talk with my at least 90-year-old landlord about mask-wearing outdoors (he was sitting outside the building on a sunny day waiting for a ride, fully masked.) Since I have worked with him, he did listen, removed the mask and, I suspect will continue to go free at least outdoors. I subsequently had a similar talk with his wife. To her, I am just a tenant, albeit one who pays rent. After my dissertation, she just shrugged her shoulders, although she smiled somewhat sheepishly while doing so. Well, 50% is better than nothing.
Indeed, it’s an overwhelming victory when dealing with the casualties of brainwashing!
We next head to Kansas for a dispatch from another anonymous but unmuzzled warrior:
Where I live most everyone is still wearing masks and the one common exception is young kids under probably about 4-5 years old. Well, over the past week I have noticed a trend that every last one of the 4-5 toddlers that I have seen has looked directly at me and waved, seemed happy, and in one case seemed almost excited to see me. Moreover, these kids seem to be very disinterested in their parents and other people near them. One little girl (maybe 2 years old) at the grocery store the other day, honestly seemed like she would have run to me if she hadn’t been strapped into her parent’s shopping cart. That little girl who was excited to see me did not seem even remotely interested in anyone else in the store, not even her parents really. Actually none of the kids seemed to be very interested in the other people around them. Now, I not only don’t know any of these little kids, I have never seen them before in my life. Furthermore, I am used to children being scared of me unless they already know me and cannot recall any toddler ever being excited to see me in my life.
Frankly, the only thing that I can think of that might explain all of this is that in each instance everyone but me and the young kids was wearing masks. Actually, full honesty, the father of a young boy still learning to walk that I saw in the WalMart parking was not wearing a mask but he was behind his son helping him walk and did have a mask in his hand while the child’s mother was wearing a mask, but even then for the boy to notice me and look at me and smile when he should have been focusing on walking and [on] his parents who were feet from him rather than me about 15 feet away.
I’m stuck wondering how badly warped might the minds of some of these young kids get by this experience? I mean months of very formative life spent never seeing human faces outside of their parents at home and rarely if ever being around other children to play with cannot be good. Based on my vague, very limited understanding of “THE SCIENCE” (to steal a phrase from the masked idiots, which I figure I am qualified to do based on knowing dang near nothing about the topic of toddlers and infants) relating to raising infants and toddlers says that play, especially with peers, and seeing people’s faces and such are basically necessary to wind up with children who are sociable and caring and able to read non-verbal cues and such. Again, I could be entirely wrong about that but I am suddenly, for the first time in my life, curious about what the best evidence is on raising infants and toddlers purely because I really feel like I was witnessing children seeing me as a reprieve from a torture inflicted on them by their parents and ‘society’. I tried to be a bright spot for those children and smile and talk to them since I can’t really do much else but it is disturbing. …
The closest I have had yet to hassle directed at me is a toss up between what are supposed to be dirty looks from a few people and the extremely nauseating messages over the loudspeaker at the grocery store about the importance of wearing a mask and how we all “have an obligation to protect the health of others” (I have told them that I will begin considering that as soon as they stop selling margarine, Crisco and tobacco)
Love it!
and encouraging me to use their overpriced and inefficient parking lot pickup option if I have a health issue preventing wearing a mask. … the closest I have encountered to a personal issue is the implications of trauma raised by those children being happy to see me. That sticks with me in a way that no look or snide generic announcements or even hearing teenagers being screamed at does.
Our correspondent also
called a retired pastor that I know and who has to my knowledge refused to touch masks this entire time, thinking he might like a sign at a church near me that struck me as being unbiblical (I don’t recall the wording off hand but it was somehow an irritating take on “show your love for others and for God by wearing a mask”). What I got in response was basically a ranting personal sermon about Romans 13 without ever mentioning that particular chapter… Apparently it is unchristian and unbiblical and evil to not blindly follow all government edicts unless you know for a fact that the government edict is contravened by something else in the Bible, and there is no Biblical commandment that “thou shalt never wear a mask,” so we have no choice but to wear masks according to him. I tried asking about if that concept of his changes when “the government” doesn’t even agree with itself or when the people in government are changing their edicts from day to day or when you can prove that “the government” is lying to you or that we are being severely harmed by their edicts and that in our haste to “show our love” we are hurting people.
Oh, for more believers to likewise interrogate—and, I hope, irritate—Parson Goat!
But the only response that I got was “well most people don’t spend as much time researching this stuff as you do” and then he refused to listen as I tried to explain that I don’t spend time researching this stuff and actually spend less time partaking of “news” than many people I know, I just choose not to get my news from sources like CNN and NPR. …
This year has certainly shown me the true religion of many vocally avowed “Christians” that I know, and that religion does not hold God and the Bible as the highest entity.
HA! No, it doesn’t. These apostates are too busy idolizing the State.
Then again, back in early March one guy I know referenced our governor as being the anti-christ in the same sentence that he said we need to obey whatever she says because she represents government, which is a claim that I will probably never forget even if I don’t remember the actual wording of it.
We’ll now hop down to North Carolina for our third anonymous report:
…the health food store I go to that was under extreme pressure to, but never fully enforced the mask mandate on its employees or customers, is now thriving more than ever.
Yay! It’s not often that we see righteousness rewarded in our brave new world, so savor this instance!
I used to be the only mask~less person there, but now it’s busier than ever with about equal mask to non mask, the occasional Karen, but a total understanding amongst the clientele otherwise. Just a good lesson in how sticking to one’s guns can pay off. Also, I walked into another store tonight, and the first person I saw was my father, without a mask. My folks have both been wearing them, mainly due to the fact they want to avoid the lunatic fringe enforcers, but it was cool to see one of my own family members coming around.
Victory of the sweetest kind! Congrats to you, Mr. A., and all of you who teach your families by your consistent example about freedom!
Up in Gretchen Witless—um, Whitmer’s fiefdom of Michigan, James Nellis
went to my local Kroger… and when I was no more than 20-30 feet past the door, I had already encountered two women without a mask. I thanked both of them, exchanged small talk and proceeded on my way. A few minutes later I came across another “anti-masker” (male), who proceeded to introduce me to his wife who walked up, also without a mask. Four people in the first five minutes. We stood in a close circle, near the meat department, and discussed the foolishness that was taking place and it was clear they were hardcore deniers of the Covid nonsense.
While we were exchanging stories and offering our opinions, a rather large, portly (why are they always big?) male specimen waddled up and asked, “Is this the no mask meeting?” My first thought was he wanted to remove his and join the conversation; boy, was I wrong. He immediately barfed out some comment about our dangerous decision, most of which I didn’t understand, and after my new found friend commented back, the overweight sheep stated, “I hope you die!”
Demonstrating that compassion for which the State and its acolytes are so famous.
At which point I almost lost it, but chose to maintain decorum and point out that he had a mask and therefore, was protected and also stated, “We aren’t part of the cult.”
Excellent line!
I moved on to finish my shopping and actually saw two other people bare-faced. I believe that six in one trip is a record.
Please God, your next expedition will set a new one!
Finally, as I was heading to the checkout, I passed by our irate fatty and with a huge smile and pleasant voice told him to “have a nice day!”
Whoa! Dead man walking also talks!
In Ohio, Mark Higdon has added
Two more retail establishments on my “never again” list. Both of them chain neighborhood hardware stores.
All I needed was a few screws and pipe hangers. In each store, the door had not yet swung shut before the storm trooper at the front desk barked his order concerning my face. To each, I said that I am under treatment for cancer and cannot safely wear a mask. … Both, just a bit taken aback, mumbled “Oh, OK,” and then returned to their stations.
Along with refusing to be a prisoner, I am now unexceptionably “shooting” the ones I can’t take. Immediately, in front of around a half dozen sheeple, I barked back at both young men. “Hey, are you interested in helping me shop and find what I came here for, or are you nothing but the store’s mask nazi?” I asked. Both replied with some variation of “It’s store policy, etc.” ad nauseam.
“Well, it’s my policy to consider your attitude and orders just plain rude. Why do you not just assume that someone without a mask has a good reason? Why do you not at least courteously greet your customers first and then–if you must–quietly and privately inquire about their masklessness?”
Both responses were too lame to quote or paraphrase. This is top-down stuff: beginning with government, flowing effortlessly to management and downward (literally) to the grunts.
I left both stores without a purchase. I didn’t go beyond the front door challenge. As I spoke my promise to one of the twerps that I would never return and would encourage others to avoid the establishment (I have shopped at both stores for many years), he replied: “That’s OK. We have a pretty good customer base.” Minus more than one, now.
Boggling, the ignorance of economics and of the market’s rules for interaction.
The less the (alleged) virus threatens (not that it ever did, much), the more governments double down with their oppression, and the more hardened retail businesses become toward their customers. This is not going away any time soon, if ever. In both of these cases, I was the only bare faced person in sight: proof that, at least in my experience, the sheeple are becoming both more compliant than ever. Those present reacted by looking away and/or just looking…stupid.
Let’s bear in mind, too, that Ohio’s “mandate” exempts so many folks that no one need muzzle himself, let alone worry about his neighbor or customer’s attire.
Mark also supplied
A catalog of unmasked-entry “greeting” policies over the last few months [in] Columbus, OH. Names not withheld, to identify the corporate oppressors.
-
Neighborhood Subway: “You can’t come in here without a mask!”
-
Neighborhood Zettler Hardware: “Sir, you have to wear a mask in the store!”
-
Neighborhood Ace Hardware: (while literally dangling a mask in front of my face) “You wanna put this on?”
-
Neighborhood state-licensed liquor store: “Sir, where’s your mask?!”
-
Neighborhood Kroger: Crickets
-
Neighborhood Walgreens: “Welcome to Walgreens! Can I help you find anything?”
All establishments are chain operations. Guess where I still shop, and where I never will again.
Finally, Mark
walked into my 6-mo. dentist appt. … unmasked. Unlike 6 mo. ago, when I was provided with a mask, no one made a peep this time. Also, after my regular cleaning, the hygienist polished my teeth. Six mo. ago, they were not allowed to do this, lest “infectious” aerosols be spread. Really. I’m not making this up. When the hygienist announced her intention to polish my teeth this time, I said: “Oh, how nice! Last time, you weren’t allowed to do that. Isn’t the science wonderful!?” I could tell that, even from behind her mask and face shield, she got it.
Note to self: Next time someone says they will “take” my temperature, I will respond, “Oh please don’t! I might die of hypothermia!”
Ridicule: the weapon the State most hates, likely because it is so eminently ridiculous. Make heavy use of it, soldiers!
Steve, who “live[s] on the Illinois side of the St. Louis metro area,” writes
Our chubby guv has a pretty strong dislike for our county. I believe our county sheriff has been quoted as saying he won’t enforce the guv’s mandates, but most sheeple here still wear their masks without serious complaint.
I’m still going shopping bare-faced, but I’m almost always the only one. I don’t think many people understand that while it’s a little uncomfortable for me (not as much as it used to be, though), it’s much more uncomfortable for me to think about covering my face when I know it’s doing harm, but no good. …
We have a home repair business, and have suffered no economic ill effects due to the panicdemic, although I can’t imagine that we’re not going to see some really tough times coming up. But blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.
I work in many peoples’ homes, doing, with a few exceptions, just about anything required. Since March, I think I’ve had three people ask me to wear a mask while I work for them. They’ve all been lefties. Most everyone else seems to see through the scam, to one extent or another. By the time I finish working for them, they have a pretty good idea of where I stand on things, and most are in agreement. …
So, our little corner of the state has been very, very bad, so Chubs has put us back in jail… No indoor dining – gotta get the restaurant industry finished off so he can start wrecking other businesses.
Interestingly, when I did my grocery shopping last weekend, I found no masking signs, and the monitor lady and her table were gone too. Sadly, I was still the only bare face in the place (I did get to see a few noses, though). I told my wife when I got home that they must have taken the signs down since they’re not necessary anymore – everyone’s been thoroughly trained and is very compliant. …
I’m trying not to get weary – this is a long fight, and I believe it’s a long way from over. I’m sure part of the plan is to wear us down. Ain’t happening here. …
Psalm 37 helps me a lot – “do not fret because of evil men.”
Amen! I also favor Psalm 2 in these days of worldwide war, especially when I read of yet more dire schemes from the Marxists, globalists, technocrats and other totalitarians:
1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. …
I eagerly await said vexing! Until then, keep the faith and keep fighting!
