WWIII: A Crime Whose Victims Rather Than Perpetrators Are Masked

December 16, 2020

Every war produces casualties; Chaz Donovan sends news of an intolerable one from the Mask War:

The Vancouver Canucks fired their longtime national anthem singer Mark Donnelly after learning he would be singing at a rally organized by coronavirus deniers and anti-mask advocates.

How dare he! I mean, really: how can the COVIDCon succeed if cultural icons (or so I assume Mr. Donnelly to be) support the truth instead of propaganda? As Chaz fulminates,

He was nonchalantly fired by the Canucks owner via tweet for daring to PLAN to perform at an “anti-mask” rally. It gets better though. Not only did he perform at the anti mask rally, he performed at a pro-life rally in 2012. This mask cult will make anyone who dissents pay with their livelihood. How leftist of them. You can listen to him sing the Canadian anthem at the pro-life rally here.

Hats off to this hero as he pays a steep price for freedom of thought!

And here’s a tale from a lesser-known but equally courageous Canadian, a

musician in Ontario, Canada, [who] nearly received an unlawful ticket for refusing to don a mask in church, but in the end, the whole ensemble performed Handel’s Messiah bare-faced.

The most sublime oratorio on earth! I am convinced we’ll sing the “Hallelujah Chorus” throughout eternity! So it’s essential that masks never mar this magnificent music.

For the past couple of weeks, the host congregation had been receiving visits from law-enforcement officers acting on anonymous reports. …

May God avenge their victims on all snitches everywhere.

The organizer of the event sent the performers an email the day before, informing us of the situation in such terms, and citing provincial regulations that masks are not required while performing or rehearsing.

Late in the afternoon on the day of the program, I returned from a rehearsal break to find the choir dismayed that they would be required to wear masks after all.  The story that reached my ears is that someone from the local government contacted a representative of the church saying that local laws were stricter and that the stricter law always prevails.  It seemed that most people were going to submit sourly.

About half an hour before the program was to begin, I was in my place rehearsing my part.  You probably know what it is like to work in a noisy room: one trains oneself to disregard all other input.  Therefore, it happens that I do not know whether a voice called, “Citizen!”

Oh, love it! Straight from the French Revolution! One thing we can say for the enemies of freedom: they’re seldom subtle.

or an abrupt silence fell over the room, or I simply reached the end of the passage I was playing and looked over to see an unfamiliar figure occupying the dead center of the sanctuary.  However it came to pass, I was surprised to find a by-law officer trying to engage me in a conversation about wearing a mask.  This is where the following transcript from a bystander’s cell-phone video picks up.

OFFICER:  You don’t have one?

CHRISTIAN:  I don’t wear one.

OFFICER:  You need one.  [Pause] If you (inaudible: can’t say that you?) don’t need one as a medical purpose, then you have to put one on.  That’s the public health guidelines, man.  I’m not doing this ’cause I want to; I’m doing it ’cause we got a complaint.

CHRISTIAN:  Someone complained about ME?

OFFICER:  Are you fighting it?  Are you obstructing me right now?  [We’re more than 10 feet apart this whole time.]

CHRISTIAN:  I’m not obstructing you.

OFFICER:  OK, but–so I’m asking you, politely, to put your mask on.  Those are the rules.  [Pause]  Anybody indoors has to wear a mask.

CHRISTIAN:  I believe the [Pause] the, uh, mask interferes with my ability to worship God.

OFFICER:  I don’t think that’s (inaudible: pardonable?).  That’s something you can fight in court if you’d like to.

CHRISTIAN:  Well, I’m not going to put on a mask here in the house of God.

OFFICER:  OK! I’ll be right back.  [Exit]

Not too long after this, one of the congregation’s elders came in and let me know that the officer was planning to give me a $240 fine.  I asked him to clarify that the penalty was for me alone and not for the Church, and offered to take my ticket and leave if it was going to be a problem.  He said that wouldn’t be necessary.  Neither of us knew whether the officer was planning to return or waiting for us to go out, so I said, “Well, I’m not going to change my mind, so why don’t we go out and get it over with?”

In the foyer, we found the officer and his partner in a conversation with the congregation’s liaison to the government in these matters.  It was a long conversation. … In the end, the officers left after agreeing that the performers were not required to wear masks during the program, saying they wouldn’t be back again that night, and not fining anyone. …

Our program consisted of a few Christmas carols and six choruses from the Messiah, including the famous “Hallelujah, for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth!”  Indeed he does.  “And He shall reign, for ever and ever.”  And I might yet get my day in court, but not until He pleases.

A good reminder to all of us: God is mighty and sovereign, however dark the forces against us.

Meanwhile, back in the USSR–sorry, USSA, David MacRae

took a vacation in Trump country. Well, sorta. I went to visit friends in Atlanta for Thanksgiving. That is not Trump country. However, I drove through rural Georgia to get there. After months living in a Florida county with a mask mandate, it was absolutely delightful to stop in a restaurant in the boonies. Almost everyone there was diaper-free, even the staff!!! People chatted with each other from one table to the next, making small talk. They all gave me a big smile. Y’know, almost like it was 2019.

…I refuse to wear a diaper in public. [But] it’s getting harder. There are security guards everywhere. Do you remember when there were greeters at the Walmart instead of gate-keepers. Oh ya, 2019.

Mike reports from Wisconsin

The owners/employees neither wear- nor ask others to wear- masks at the gun store I visited a couple of times in the last two months.

Oddly, they all seem healthy and the store is not able to keep normal inventory on the shelf, especially bullets.

Kudos to the patriots stocking up for the next theater in the Mask War!

Gary from Central Florida offers

Just a little insight down here in The Villages. We seem to be getting a second wave of the fear virus. I see more idiots walking around with masks outdoors than usual. Restaurants have less customers. The head liar, Fauci, getting more airtime to fear monger. Seems to be scaring the retired folks down here. Most people I know down here can’t wait to get the Frankenstein vaccine. When I ask them which one they are getting (there are 6) they look at me with a faraway look. I have given up trying to educate people about it. If you want to be a human lab rat, be my guest.

Look at it this way: the Frankenshot should seriously diminish the enemy’s numbers. Fewer Masked Morons, oh, yay! I’m beginning to like this vaccine…

We’ll stay in Florida while Mr. Anonymous relates his adventure

in a GYRO restaurant … this woman seemed friendly … at first until I confronted her about her mask and she got very silent. Not happy to be embarrassed about the mask. I said that mask (she had cloth) unless an N95 medical mask changed every day by surgeons is useless. I said there are many articles by scientists saying that. I also said COVID 19 has a 99.99 % survival rate and you had more chance of dying from flu. She said she knew people dying from it but how old and I asked what about co-morbidities (other diseases). She probably didn’t understand but she didn’t want to talk after that. I said if you give in to the govt on this they will keep pushing the envelope to make us do some other new stupid thing like a bully in school.

Absolutely! Masks are a gateway to further despotism.

Then I asked her will you take the govt vaccine. She said yes. I said are you aware that it contains aluminum and mercury that will bring about early stage Alzheimers because those two components go right to the brain and do increase the chances of getting it at an earlier age. She didn’t know what to say but just went real quiet like she didn’t want to be confronted with facts. …

I am at the point thinking that ALDOUS HUXLEY… was right about what he said at CAL BERKLEY IN 1962: Many people will come to love their servitude. (IE they will enjoy wearing masks and not complain about it but even start wearing sports teams as logos on their masks!)

Finally, Mr. A hasn’t

decided if approaching another … brainwashed moron is a total waste of time. They do not think or challenge their govt masters.

Behold the purpose of the public educational gulag and the corporate press!

From Pennsylvania, Jeff Krinock muses,

Regarding ideas for civil disobedience, here’s a small one that worked reasonably well for me:

I was verbally “jumped” by a local grocery store worker for not having my mask over my nose.  I explained I had a medical exception (which even in Gulag Pennsylvania is still supposed to be an acceptable response – for now).

No matter, she proceeded to berate me, to call me names, to insult me and to pretend to know what I’m all about (“You’re selfish! You only care about yourself!”).  In short, she displayed the classic mob mentality.

While my response(s) to her were not perfect – e.g., I yelled back too much as she yelled at me – I did:

1) refrain from calling her any name

2) refrain from insulting her (other than inadvertently by my raised voice)

3) avoided threatening her in any way (verbally, physically, implied, etc).

What I did do once she tried to follow through with her threat to throw me from the store: I told her calmly that I was not leaving on my own, but that if she could pick me up and carry me out, I would agree to leave.

In hindsight, my spur-of-the moment response seems pretty well designed.  It bought me time to finish my shopping (while she ran for “help”).  It avoided just about any and every legal quandary I could imagine, and it had at least a chance of forcing she-of-the-mob-mentality to consider what her misguided moralizing would force her to do and become if she continued on her chosen path.  I hope, for example, she gave pause to consider whether she’d rather butcher fish and meat behind the grocery store counter or become a mall cop in volunteer service of our Gov. Wolf.

This idea and many others like it will be outlawed and legally out-maneuvered at some point, but for now, it seems to me that civil disobedience, in as clever a form and as broadly applied as possible, is our best course of action.

Might as well hang for a sheep as a lamb: if the Masked Morons pummel you this mercilessly while you’re wearing their uniform, heck, why bother? Leave it off entirely. That may scramble so many of Ms. Mob’s gaskets that she’ll expire before your very eyes!

So far, Eric Morris in Indiana has

had no trouble with Costco employees.  I flash my clear face-shield in my hand along with my membership card at the entrance, and then stick the shield in the baby seat of the cart.  However, today, a semi-male Karen

Why is it that only the wretchedly feminine hector COVIDCon’s dissidents? Aside from politicians and bureaucrats, of course. Or did I repeat myself?

in face-shield, face diaper, and gloves asked me to put on a mask. I asked him if he was an employee.

Well done, Eric!

He said no.  I continued shopping with no trouble, including the checkout clerks and the person looking at my receipt upon leaving.

Stephen Manz in California met

some patriot friends of my wife and me … for dinner at Basilico’s in Huntington Beach. The restaurant has made quite a name for itself by forbidding masks … . We arrived at 4, although they didn’t open until 4:30. Even still we were the fourth party on their list. By the time we were being seated, there were easily 50 waiting outside. The buzz inside the restaurant completely drowned out the operatic arias on the speakers. Dining the way it’s always meant to be: great food, great conversation, everyone having a great time. When we left, there had to have been almost 100 folks waiting! No one, however, seemed the least perturbed about having to wait so long for a table. People were chatting with one another in normal voices, not in the hushed tones you usually hear at restaurants. These folks wanted to be out, wanted to be treated as human beings, wanted to live the way they’ve always been accustomed to living.

YES! Please God, they want it enough to fight and die for it…

We’re planning a monthly (at least) night out at Basilico’s, even if it is about 25 miles from home. 25 miles is nothing, however. The maitre d’ told us that a well-to-do couple from Michigan drove all that way simply to patronize the restaurant!

Wow! The power of Liberty!

Alas,

My wife posted our restaurant outing on Facebook and triggered both sides of our family! So disappointing to be related to such passivity.

The mask-free dining was a fitting end to our attending a Stop the Steal rally, also in Huntington Beach. I thought you’d like the young man’s sign.

Oh, I did! It read, “HANG THE TRAITORS”!

As you can see [from the picture our correspondent sent me], a pretty tight crowd with no masks in sight. If only Orange County were its own state…

Mr. Manz also

had to return something at Wal-Mart and got dressed for the occasion: Trump hat and “Don’t Mess with Texas” T-shirt. The reason for my TX shirt, obviously in support of AG Paxton. I walked in without a mask and worked with customer service for a few minutes. Nothing said about my disregarding the “health” requirement. I did the rest of my shopping with not a single comment. As I exited, the lady at the door who sometimes checks receipts, simply said, “Thanks for shopping. Merry Christmas! And, I like your hat.” I turned around and said, “Merry Christmas, to you, too. How do you like my shirt?” She gave me two thumbs up. Again, if only Orange County had no ties to Sacramento (so unfortunately named).

Steve in Illinois is

Still shopping maskless.  I’m almost always the only one, but I’m kind of enjoying, in a way, trying to plant a seed or two.

The few stores that I shop in don’t give me any grief, and are usually very friendly.  I was offered a mask by a young check-out fellow, but I told him no thanks, I can’t wear one.  He just stood there looking puzzled, and I went on my merry way.  Pretty funny, actually.

I’m still (very selectively, content wise) sending out good info when I find it to about 20 people who’ve requested it.

I will get more people to unmask, and I will not give up.

Never, ever give up! We are battling for our lives; pray, entrust the outcome to the Lord, and persevere.

Bo from Texas lists the

places I’ve been the last week without wearing a mask a single time … :

WalMart. No mask and nobody said anything.

H-E-B: No mask and I was left alone.

Sam’s Club. No mask and nobody inquired.

U-Haul: No mask and they don’t require it either. Just asking people to observe social distancing.

Several Gas stations (Yes, I do need gas in my car since I actually work and move around). No requirement for masks either. Just social distancing.

Kroger: No mask and nobody stopped me.

4 different restaurants for dine-in. Mixed lunch and dinner dates. No mask.

UPS stores. No mask and nobody said anything.

My own store [Bo is an entrepreneur] does not require masks and our customers are happy about it.

I’m sure I forgot some but the point is that people around here don’t care anymore. That’s why I love Texas.

I think at least 25% of people are not wearing masks around here.

I have to admit I DO wear a mask when I take my pets to the vet. The vet wants it. Not because it’s a government demand but because the vet is cautious. I respect private property so if they make that rule I will follow it. Because I think he’s a great vet. I could go to other places but I choose not to.

Otherwise, I’ve not been wearing a mask at any time.

Sam exults that

Youngsville, NC holds Christmas parade and lots & lots of unmasked attend in spite of warnings from mayor and state leaders. This is less than 20 miles down the road from my home and I missed the whole thing (rats!!!).

In Virginia, Jim rejoices that

In the face of mask restrictions at both our church and grocery stores, we are still steadfast.

Our Sunday School has met every Sunday and remained mask free for all of 2020, contrary to both Virginia governor and church bishop directives. (The restrictions at church are now mainly driven by our bishop, however, our local congregation has chosen to worship as we feel appropriate. Our Sunday School is free of masks; however at preaching masks are required and some members leave church at that time. )

We are a small church and no one has tested positive thus far.  Have any of us been exposed?  Who knows?  Whatever happens is with God’s knowledge and permission.

AMEN! Why isn’t the Church preaching this elemental doctrine to the world instead of licking the State’s boots?

Went to Staunton (population 25,000) last week for a meal and some minor shopping.  We ate at our usual Italian restaurant where we never don a mask.  Then we shopped at Kroger’s where eight cars were parked in the lot awaiting their curbside delivery of groceries.  Masked customers all over the parking lot. In the store only four out of about sixty of us were unmasked.  We exchanged smiles with one young unmasked man we passed in the aisle. At the self-checkout the masked store worker was polite and did not seem to mind that we were the unmasked minority.

We then went to a local pet store where the masked employees were quick to assist us.  (Perhaps to speed our business there.)  No comment was made about our naked faces, but the service was quick and excellent.  It appeared that not wearing a mask was a customer service benefit there.

Although positive tests are increasing in our rural area, there are still at least three stores that don’t care if you mask or not.  One of them is Amish owned and another owned by Mennonites.

Ah, dissidents of long standing!

I’m no fan of Ernest Hemingway, but I do appreciate his wisdom here: “Never think that war, no matter how necessary, nor how justified, is not a crime.” How much more so when it advances the most shattering and monumental scam the world has suffered since the invention of government?
