Why the Leftist Totalitarians in the Media Hate the South and Southerners

Too many white Christians, says Elisabeth Meinecke in Townhall magazine. And, I would add, there’s nothing more evil and threatening to a media leftist than an educated and articulate black Christian conservative or libertarian, especially one from south of the Mason-Dixon line.
Most neocons also seem to have an unholy hate of the South and Southerners. Even ones who were born and raised there (but educated elsewhere). I suspect it is because of the nineteenth-century southerners’ opposition to the “god” of American statism and imperialism, Abe Lincoln (“Father Abraham” to the crazed “Straussian” wing of the neocons).
