Voter Apathy
September 30, 2012
I have driven all over central Florida in the past few weeks, from the west coast to the east coast, and can’t remember seeing more than one Romney/Ryan bumper sticker—and that was in my neighborhood. Back in 2008, I saw McCain/Palin bumper stickers all the time—I even still see them. Come to think of it, I haven’t seen too many Obama/Biden bumper stickers either. Is it voter apathy? Let’s hope so.
Laurence M. Vance [send him mail] writes from central Florida. He is the author of The Free Society; War, Christianity, and the State: Essays on the Follies of Christian Militarism; War, Empire, and the Military: Essays on the Follies of War and U.S. Foreign Policy; King James, His Bible, and Its Translators, and many other books. His newest book is The U.S. Proxy War in Ukraine.
