“Vaccine Hesitant”? We’ll Show You “Hesitant”

One of my pet peeves is the so-tired-it’s-exhausted phrase, “vaccine hesitant.” I hate everything about it: its grammar (a noun modifying another noun, i.e., jargon); its inherent falsehood (the shot is not a vaccine); and especially its fake, feel-good, PR-optimism sugar-coating reality.

But Anthony Powell has come up with a suitable response to this annoying nonsense:

Excuse my slightly profane language, but my family and I are not ‘vaccine hesitant.’

We are ‘vaccine – HELL NO!’
