The US drone war is accelerating in parts of the Middle East and west Asia. In Afghanistan there were more strikes in July than in the entire rest of the year put together. The attacks do not target specific individuals suspected of being involved in terrorism, but rather target “signatures” or behaviors. For example a group of military-aged men standing around.
