Update on the Persecuted Church in Californiastan

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge is expected to have a decision sometime next week regarding … [the] holding in-person church services [at Grace Community, with pastor John MacArthur]  in defiance of coronavirus health orders. …

“I recognize the importance of the decision,” Judge Mitchell L. Beckloff said after an hours-long hearing on Friday. …

MacArthur has argued that he’s holding services not to be “rebellious” but because “our Lord has commanded us to come together.”

OK, he got one out of two. Why not rebel against rank and blasphemous tyranny?

“Where’s the blasphemy?” you ask. Try this:

Attorney Amnon Siegel, who is arguing on behalf of the county, pushed back saying “religion doesn’t trump health and safety.”

Don’t you love it when statists who’ve never cracked a Bible try to practice theology? Thanks to Scott in Colorado for alerting me to this development.
