U.S. Congress Bent on War with Russia

By a heavily lopsided margin, the House of Representatives passed a strongly-worded resolution condemning Russia (H.R. 758). It’s virtually a declaration of war. It is a giant step toward war. See here and here for discussions.

The resolution is pure garbage. 100% hypocrisy. Filled with lies, false statements, inaccuracies, and idiotic policies. Its content is entirely divorced from reality.

Still, the power of the state creates its own reality. The anti-Russian rhetoric and lies have a life of their own. Russia will respond. She has to, even if the resolution is total trash, which it is.

This resolution and past anti-Russian actions and propaganda create a new Cold War. It also takes a giant reckless step toward a hot war: the U.S. and NATO on one side against Russia on the other side.

Blame Congress, no one else. Do not blame Russia. Do not blame Putin.

The madmen in Washington have lost any semblance of sanity when it comes to Russia.

The U.S. will renew its failed attempt to suppress and destroy the new republics in Donbass. The U.S. will heighten sanctions against Russia.

NATO will remain a loose cannon that can trigger a war at any time.

Russia will respond. Its moves will surprise Washington.

Washington has begun a war spiral.

Americans need to stop not only the police state but also the war state. LEAVE RUSSIA ALONE. LEAVE UKRAINE ALONE.

The passivity of America’s intellectuals is a signal failing of American society. They should have been yelling their lungs out for years. They’ve let injustices prevail. They’ve allowed an environment of unaccountable lying, fraud, hypocrisy, evil-doing and war-making at the highest levels. H.R. 758 is one result.
