Two Roots of Police Violence

A 73-year-old Tulsa reserve cop has turned himself in after grabbing his gun instead of his taser and “accidentally” killing an unarmed suspect. This tragedy/murder was the result of “an undercover sting on an illegal gun sale.” These sting operations are make-work activities of police that entrap people to commit non-crimes. There should be no sting operations. And there should be no such thing as an illegal gun sale. This would eliminate two roots of police violence. Another root of police violence is the drug war. End it as well. And don’t look for any GOP presidential candidates to call for ending it, even though it is a war on freedom.

But without these things, we wouldn’t need as many cops. Exactly.
