Trump and the Republicans: Welfare Statists

Federal income transfer programs are set to hit a record $3.2 trillion in fiscal 2020, according to projections published by the Office of Management and Budget. Trump had a Republican-controlled Congress for the first two years of his presidency. All they did was expand the welfare state. This cannot be blamed on the Democrats winning control of the House in the 2018 midterm election.
