The Silent Majority Must Stop Patronizing Its Enemies and Regain Control

To preserve their liberty, the Silent Majority must coalesce and act to install governments that preserve liberty.

The Silent Majority must stop patronizing its enemies in government, media, churches, schools, entertainment, business or wherever these enemies crop up. Otherwise, it commits suicide.

The Silent Majority consists of people who possess proper personal and family values. They value work. They are charitable. They value families. They value independence. They are the people who work, marry, strive to better themselves and their loved ones and try to lead decent lives. They are freedom-loving people with the spirit to build better lives.

The Silent Majority includes people drawn from all kinds and classes, because anyone can have proper values. Those who do not have proper values but have criminal values and tendencies are excluded from the Silent Majority. Like the Silent Majority, the people with criminal mentalities can be of any kind and class.

The important distinction we have to make socially is not one of race, religion, ethnicity, wealth, or class. It is one of VALUES. This is the distinction that matters politically. A people with improper values will commit suicide. If improper values are instituted in governments, they will be bad governments and hasten the suicide of the governed.

Socialists, communists, and totalitarians of all kinds are not in the Silent Majority. They are its enemies. They want to destroy those with family values, work values and freedom values.

One does not have to commit open crimes to be against the Silent Majority. One may plot to take over governments and thwart the Silent Majority. The plots can come from people who are of any class and kind. The dividing line is one of values.

Criminals are not in the Silent Majority. They include people rioting and looting. They include totalitarians and people who want to take over and complete the transformation of America into a socialist hellhole.

There are many people who are working to subvert the values of the Silent Majority who are not committing crimes like murder, rape and robbery. The challenges facing the Silent Majority are to recognize who these people are and to stop patronizing and supporting them. These people doing damage to proper values need to be marginalized. The Silent Majority can only do this by gaining effective control over the major institutions of society and taking authority away from those who are enemies of proper values. This is a struggle and a challenge that must be met if proper values are to survive.

The Silent Majority is in a largely hidden war of values and wits that has become more noisy of late. The Silent Majority has been losing in places like universities, governments, and mainstream media. It is winning in some places like homeschooling and talk radio. The institutions that the Silent Majority supports or has voted for are the real battlefields, and these institutions are betraying and subverting the values held by the Silent Majority. These institutions receive the patronage, moral and financial, of the Silent Majority, but they house enemies of the Silent Majority.

The war between the Silent Majority and its enemies is a war for proper values. It is a social war, and as such its main battles are in and through social institutions. The way to wage these battles and win is to gain control over the financing of these institutions. Then one can control the appointments and reshape the institution’s behavior. It’s like gaining control of the Supreme Court, except that’s a matter of personnel directly and not money.

The Silent Majority has to recognize what it is and what it stands for and not be diverted into battles that are fruitless or that it cannot win. It must recognize what unites it, which is proper values.

What we are really talking about here is, for example, to regain control over universities and kicking out the administrators who have turned them into leftist operations. It is to boycott the leftist commentators in the media and their advertisers. It is to nominate candidates who clearly stand for proper values and to monitor them closely and replace them if they fail to live up to their promises. It is to stand squarely for limited government, since so much of government today is based upon improper values. It is to free education from its coercive sources of financing. These are three clear battlefields: education, media and governments.

Our money and our work are what sustain these institutions, but we are not getting the control over them that should come with this financing that we supply. Consequently these institutions have tended to adopt improper values and ignore proper values. The idea is to regain control, and this is rightful control because it’s our money that nourishes them.
