“Stunning to see God’s great blessings of capitalism and the division of labor summed up this way. Then, just as I was walking away from the computer came a knock on the door. Yep, UPS. I was grinning from ear to ear as I described to the driver my package’s amazing three-day journey.

He barely paused. No warm smile, no small talk; in response to my thanks just a semi-grumpy “No problem” and back in the truck.

I love it! If not for LRC and Mises.org I know I wouldn’t understand the significance of this, that humans from China to Union, MO — none of whom give a hoot about me — have cooperated voluntarily and in pursuit of profit to please my family. And of course this is just the shipping, which was free. A true Christmas miracle!
