The Greater the Ignorance, the Greater the Support of Government
April 8, 2014
Americans don’t know where Ukraine is, and the further off they are in their guesses, the more they support U.S. intervention. There is a positive correlation between ignorance and support of the government. The greater the ignorance, the more that the person defers to the supposedly greater knowledge and wisdom of the government. Liberty depends less on vigilance than it does on good information. The public schools breed government support by keeping people ignorant, not only by indoctrinating in government worship.
