A common argument for government is that we need the government to protect the public health and safety. The problem with this is that the government not only fails to do its job, it sometimes does just the opposite. Recently in Georgia, a bridge inspector confessed to not inspecting bridges and then faking inspection reports. Meanwhile, in Florida, the spokesman for the Department of Children & Families was charged with producing child pornography. One of the minor boys used to make the porn was actually in the care of the Department of Children & Families.
