This powerful true account of the August 1, 1946 Battle of Athens, Tennessee in the days soon after the conclusion of WWII is one that every LRC reader must read. How many of our readers will be moved to painfully conclude that this is the same brutal treatment that outraged and inflamed citizens must use upon the violent criminal arsonists, plunderers, rioters, and murderers destroying American cities in these days of mandated police impotence and breakdown of law enforcement protection of persons and property?  Has it truly come to this? Can it go on much longer without a savage backlash toward the thugs of BLM and antifa?
