The bad: The Trump campaign claims the plan “doesn’t add to our debt and deficit” and is “revenue neutral.”
The good: The Tax Foundation says: “It’s hard to see how the plan would reach revenue neutrality.”
At first glance, I think that the plan is not revenue neutral; that is, it will actually lower taxes and give the government less money to spend. All revenue neutral tax reform plans merely rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic, as I point out here.
