Symes, you might recall, worked at Orwell’s Ministry of Truth (so this would be a promotion). He was in charge of rewriting the Newspeak Dictionary. His goal: reducing the number of words to about 500.
Symes was a bit too candid about his enterprise, so he was vaporized.
Now the Turks are upset because Chancellor Christian Kern of Austria (population 8 million) does not want two million more Moslem “asylum seekers” from Turkey (population 75 million), plus unlimited Turks entering the EU without visas. Turkey simply doesn’t meet the requirements to enter the EU, he argues. That means Turks don’t meet those standards either, one might conclude.
This reprehensible attitude sits now well with Ömer Celik, the Turkish Minister for Europe (whatever that means): it sounds like “right-wing extremism,” he says. Verbatim.
So even in Turkish, something you don’t like is “right-wing extremism” – whence we conclude that Sultanates exude “left-wing extremism.”
Uh-oh.
We will no doubt soon read that Minister Ömer Celik has been vaporized. Except that we won’t because that news will go down the Memory Hole.
Stay tuned for more chaos.
