Why Should Republicans Get Upset at Obama’s Call for Expanded Background Checks?

Obama is taking executive action to expand background checks for gun purchases. But why should Republicans get so upset about it? Republicans believe in background checks. They fully support the National Instant Criminal Background Check System mandated by the Brady Bill of 1993 and launched by the FBI in 1998, as I pointed out a few years ago in “Republicans Just Don’t Get It on Gun Control.”
