Lew, I would remind readers that it was the conservative saint, Ronald Reagan, who signed this dreadful drinking age legislation into law. For those who have not done so, I recommend that they read Rothbard on Reagan: “The Reagan Phenomenon,” “Ronald Reagan, Warmonger,” and “Ronald Reagan: An Autopsy.” Reagan also raised Social Security taxes, as I wrote about here. And here I asked the question: “Why Is the Drinking Age 21?”
