William Lind’s quote reminds me of a great scene in the movie Dr. Zhiavago when Zhiavago is called away from his hospital by the Soviet deputy living in his home to deal with a sick dying old man. The deputy is concerned that the old man is sick with typhus, as it has been decreed eradicated by the Soviet government.
Zhiavago angrily replies, “No it’s not typhus, but another disease we don’t have in Moscow, starvation!”
