Re: Evidence That War on Terror Has Not Decreased “Terrorist” Numbers

October 31, 2014

Mike — I came across the same item in my daily e-mail serving of “10 things you need to know today” courtesy, TheWeek.com and was just about to blog it when I saw your post. Here’s my question:  Would not basic logic maintain, given much of the available research on the genesis of suicide terrorists, that almost all the actions undertaken by the US since the start of the Iraq War would have exactly this effect? Are we–those of us who frequent sites like this one–among the few people who realize that this so-called War on Terror is probably the best way to generate more terrorists? (Well, it makes war-profiteers insanely rich too, but that’s a deduction better made by Captain Obvious.) At least we can look forward to another installment of the Choosing The Lesser of Two Evils Pageant soon.
