Putin was wrong about American exceptionalism!

Much as it pains me to criticize the heroic man who gave a much-needed home to Edward Snowden, I must say that Putin was wrong in his New York Times op ed; in contrast, the neoconservatives were right: the United States is exceptional. Our nation to its everlasting shame not only dropped one atom bomb on innocent civilians, it did this horrendous act twice. Anyone remember Hiroshima and Nagasaki? If that is not exceptional, given that the U.S. is the ONLY country in the history of the planet to engage in such a despicable act, then nothing is “exceptional.”

So put that in your pipe and smoke it, Putin. With all due respect, and thanks again for rescuing Edward Snowden, but you are wrong, very wrong, when you say the America is not an exceptional nation. We most certainly are.

And Obama has the effrontery to draw a “red line” about some poison gas? Compared to atomic weaponry, poison gas is like attacking someone with a paper clip.
