Politics Not a Place for Whores

A Bernie Sanders supporter who criticized “corporate Democratic whores” was justifiably chastised for his remarks. It is an undeserved and unfair slur upon prostitutes to compare them to politicians. Though I have never done business with them, the nature of their work is free-market, dealing peacefully with a voluntary clientele. It is politicians, whose work is inextricably tied to violence, threats, and income derived from theft, who should be subject to moral condemnation. The phrase “corporate-pimps” is more appropriate for members of the political-class.
