And if slaughtering tens of thousands in the name of “democracy” isn’t enough to bolster public support for more war – which was probably the purpose of the NPR and Boot pieces – the political establishment will have to fall back on the rationale guaranteed to send most Americans into a state of enraptured insistence for more tyranny: “we’re doing it for the children!”
