I wrote my book on government schools to urge parents to pull their kids out of them, not so I could write post-mortems and brag that I told you so.
In Chapter 3, I wrote that your local government high school is the best drug store in town. A few weeks later, the Buffalo News had a sad story about a recent overdose victim who picked up the lifestyle at Lancaster High, also known as “Heroin High.”
Also in the book, I warned about pervasive bullying and how bullying may increase the risk of your child’s suicide.
Now, we have this very sad story about a young girl driven to suicide in a government high school by endless and cruel bullying.
Parents, please, wake up! I wasn’t kidding and I wasn’t exaggerating. I was just telling it like it is.
