Mainly because of the war on freedom known as the war on drugs. The names and offenses of the individuals are listed here. Not sure why these federal prisoners won’t be released in April and December of 2016 instead of right now. And as I have pointed out many times, no one should ever be detained by police, arrested, tried, fined, or imprisoned for drug crimes.
