New Frontiers of Government Schooling

December 13, 2007

Turning on the local TV news yesterday morning, I’m informed that one of the Baltimore “public” schools has decided to put metal detectors at all entrances because a lot of “kids” have been bringing guns and knives to school.

A mom was interviewed and asked what she thought of “kids” bringing guns and knives to school. She said: “Well, kids will be kids.”

(I must confess to having carried a gun as a teenager, but only when dressed in bright orange and hunting deer or rabbits and pheasants and never in school).
