They want to secede to avoid being plundered by high taxes by corrupt and incompetent state politicians and bureaucrats. That’s what they say in public, of course. But we all know that this is just another Neo-Confederate plot to reinstitute segregation or slavery. The Southern Poverty Law [and Hedge Fund] Center’s Hate-O-Meter must be going through the roof.
