From the Mouths of Older Babes

A widow who’s 82 years old has driven an 1860-mile round trip by herself 13 times rather than brave the atrocity that is commercial aviation. She writes—
When in the clutches of the TSA you have the same rights as prisoners crammed into cattle cars on their way to concentration camps. There’s a new fear abroad – not fear of terrorism but fear of saying or doing the wrong thing and making the gov’t think you’re a terrorist. The TSA seems to pick on people traveling alone who look old and feeble and maybe foreign – no one that the other passengers would actually care about. I’d like to think that if the TSA grabbed a pretty young woman, tore her clothes and bloodied her face, that the passengers would have enough guts to put a stop to it – or maybe not.
