More Heroes in Snowden’s Saga

Lavabit, Heroic Ed’s email provider, and its founder, Ladar Levison, who closed his ten-year-old company this summer rather than compromise his 400,000 clients’ security when the FBI demanded to snoop through Lavabit’s files to better persecute Mr. Snowden. And that despite threats to cage him as well as imposing a fine of $5000 per day.

I expect future generations will look back on Heroic Ed and Heroic Ladar as we do Sam Adams and John Hancock at Lexington in 1775. And the thugs at the FBI? Sorry, but even the vilest of the Redcoats owned more scruples than they.
