More Ethnic Cleansing by Israel

Last week Israel demolished the mosque of the Bedouin village of Umm al-Hiran in the Negev after the residents of the village were coerced into destroying their own homes to make way for a Jewish only settlement.  Many residents demolished their homes to avoid having to pay the Israeli regime to demolish them.

The Regional Council for Unrecognized Villages in the Negev explained, “The destruction of Umm al-Hiran to make way for the settlement of Dror is part of a systematic population replacement program in the Negev.”

National Security Minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, of the Kahanist Jewish Power Party proclaimed, “Proud to lead a strong policy of demolishing illegal houses in the Negev!”

However, expelling the indigenous population of Palestine from their homes and property to make way for Jewish only settlements constitutes ethnic cleansing and violates fundamental principles of international law.

Israel has the chutzpah or audacity to complain when the indigenous population of Palestine rises up against the Israeli occupiers and colonizers.
