More and More Foreign Leaders Are Speaking Out Against the Empire’s Actions

April 20, 2015

If you follow international news closely and read widely, you will observe that more and more foreign leaders from a variety of countries are speaking out clearly and boldly against the actions of the U.S. government. The way that they speak, even in translation, is marked by clarity, depth, rationality and boldness. They have the interests of their own countries at heart, but their remarks still have a ring of analytical reality about them.

A very real reaction against American policies is arising. It is not belligerent, but it protests. It is not bathed in the rhetoric of America’s leaders, which is so divorced from reality.

The latest such remarks come from EU Parliament Deputy and presidential candidate Janusz Korwin-Mikke. He thinks the Maidan snipers were trained in Poland. His interview is well worth reading.

An earlier speech by Hassan Nasrallah appears here.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is another example. He recently said of the United States

“They created the myth of nuclear weapons so they could say the Islamic Republic is a source of threat. No, the source of threat is America itself, with its unrestrained, destabilizing interventions.”

The U.S. robotically keeps singing the same discordant tunes, based on its restricted views of enemies and terrorists. Its so-called diplomats are anything but. The Ambassador to Lebanon, David Hale, in a far from diplomatic speech, crudely delved into Lebanon politics, saying

“Hezbollah continues to make life and death decisions for all of Lebanon, yet consults no one, is accountable to no Lebanese, and answers to foreign powers.”

Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker responded. So did Hezbollah spokesmen.

“Hezbollah’s executive council head Sayyed Hashem Safieddine described the remarks as ‘stupid,’ while Hezbollah MP Nawar Saheli told Hale to ‘shut up and to look into the Zionist enemy’s violations of U.N. resolutions.’
