Miles of Smiles in Walls of Books

December 3, 2020

Terry Gant presents an early Christmas gift with this immensely heartening note:

My bookstore, Walls of Books in Cookeville TN, has managed to book an anti-mask Santa. We are going to have a special story time event in my store again this year, which already has a culture of being unmasked, on the 23rd. Because of all the virus foolishness, many Santas are not being booked. I came across one that said he will accommodate virus countermeasures if requested, so I asked if he would be willing to be face to face with children with no mask, gloves or plexiglass barriers. He said that was his preference. I’m not sure, but I might have booked the actual Santa Claus… He will certainly be giving children at my store a very real gift this year: a normal Christmas memory that brings joy. So we will raise cups of hot cocoa in celebration of the advent of our Lord and source of all true liberty, Jesus Christ, with one of the most fun reminders of the great gift of salvation this Christmas at Walls of Books. Sing Psalms, Defy Tyrants.

I don’t know about you, but I blinked back tears of joy while reading!
