Two Best Lines of the Day
August 1, 2017
In Monday’s White House press briefing, National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster described new US sanctions imposed on Venezuela’s Maduro for his latest power grab.
In a memorable moment, a reporter asked how Maduro’s actions were “different from what happened in Turkey when President Erdogan also seized expanded powers?”
Embarrassing!
The not-brain-dead reporter reminded McMaster in case he forgot that President Trump even called to congratulate Erdogan on his power grab.
The second great line is from Pat Buchanan’s lastest column, “Shall We Fight Them All?”
Says Pat, describing Trump’s brinksmanship with North Korea, Russia, China, and Iran, “President Trump may need those transgender troops.”
