Praise God, Shelley Luther is free! 

 Gov. Greg “Stalin” Abbott “ordered… the ‘immediate release’ of a woman who was sentenced to jail for seven days for refusing to apologize for reopening her salon business in defiance of county lockdown orders.” He also “denounc[ed] the judge who sentenced Shelley Luther to jail, saying there better ways of protecting public safety than jailing a mom wanting to feed her kids.” Ya think?

Resist falling into the Stockholm Syndrome here: “Well, ol’ Greg must be better than we—Hey, why  you still calling him ‘Stalin’?” Remember: Abbott is a politician, and the serfs have been contributing zealously to Ms. Luther’s Gofundme page as well as writing scathing letters and comments.

I think Stalin discerned the rumblings of revolution and thought long and hard about the implications of caging this utterly sympathetic Patriot. 

But there will be others, no doubt less sympathetic. So hold onto your outrage. (And thanks to Bill Martin for this fantastic news!)
