Let the Military Discounts Begin

Just got my first e-mail from a restaurant advertising a military discount for Veterans Day. At Carrabba’s, one of my favorite restaurants, Veterans and active duty military can get a free appetizer beginning today through Veterans Day. Of course, they must show their military ID or be in uniform. The good thing about being in uniform is that every restaurant employee and most of the patrons can thank them for their service. And hey, if active duty personnel attend a warvangelical church this Sunday, they can be worshiped twice in one day if they go to Carrabba’s after church.

Although I have, thank God, never been in the military, I like military discounts, but not for the reason most people do.
