Land of Nuts

September 6, 2016

A football player has become a national persona non grata for not wanting to stand for the national anthem, that glorious song about killing our British enemy, and prevailing against the evil UK.  Even the US State Department has gotten in this spirit!  It just refused entry into the United States of former British Ambassador Craig Murray, who was invited to present the annual Sam Adams Award offered by Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS).  Do we hate Brits or love them?  Who is today’s enemy, or should we all just sit down or stand up as we are told?  This was a main American complaint back in the day.  Now it’s business as usual.  Shut up, move along, bend over, repeat.  Oh, and watch football!
