Old timers on LRC might recall how, every Friday on schedule, I would point out the lies of Charles Krauthammer as he would cheer on some war or other, demand that our sons and daughter go out and fight all of them, and make the world great again because the neocons and their Pentagon funders would be running it while making a handsome profit on the side.
Dr. K faded into the background when Obama picked up where W. left off, breaking his word (imagine!) and keeping up all of Bush’s wars and go go Guantánamo. In a word, Obama made Dr. K look more foolish than ever.
But now Krauthammer dusts off his churl and, as usual, backfires: “As countries in the West turn inward, chaos is bound to ensue.”
Now this guy’s supposed to be a shrink, but he seems to favor the Memory Hole to genuine analysis.
Memo to Dr. K: it was BUSH’s ILLEGAL IMMORAL WARS that caused the chaos in the Middle East. That chaos has been going on for YEARS because of Bushobama’s disastrous and ignorant violence wrought there.
And you want us to forget it all and blame not you, not Bush, but Donald Trump!
And you had the gall to call Trump a narcissist? Look in the mirror!
The once-pompous Bush has stolen quietly from the limelight. This wonderful Christian has never apologized for the millions of Christians who have been killed, beheaded, exiled, raped, enslaved – you get the picture – because of his wars that smart guys like Krauthammer cheered on.
Dr. K hasn’t apologized either – as usual, he’s rewriting his resumé and rewriting history to suit his overblown ego.
Physician: heal thyself. And save the lies for your fellow neocons. They are always wrong, and they never, ever apologize.
