As one element in a criticism of President Obama for being too soft on Muslims that is now making the rounds, the following appears: “All of a sudden America APOLOGIZES to Muslim states and sponsors of terror worldwide for acts of aggression, war and sabotage THEY perpetrate against our soldiers.”

Now, I bow to no man in terms of being forthright in criticizing Barack Hussain Obama. He has been a disaster in just about each and every act he has undertaken for the past almost eight years. And, also, several of the other points made in this message are not at all unreasonable. But this critique is nothing short of imbecilic.

Suppose the soldiers of country A invade country B, and the people in B start shooting these A soldiers. Isn’t that defense? And hence justified? If “our soldiers” were in the US, and were shot at by Country B citizens, that would be one thing. But “our soldiers” are in THEIR country. It is difficult to see how this complaint against Obama could be more unfair. Imagine if it was the other way around. Suppose some soldiers from, I don’t know, say, Switzerland, attacked America. And then Americans, civilians and military, or both, fought against this invading Swiss army. At this point, the Swiss commentators complained that the Americans engaged in acts of aggression, war and sabotage against these interlopers. What would any rational disinterested party think about them apples? Not too highly.
