Mark Higdon wants to know, “Why is it that every American who withdraws $10,000 or more (sometimes even less) from the bank is considered a possible criminal, and must be reported by the bank to the US government; but when the US government is revealed to have secretly shipped $400,000,000 to a hostile foreign government, we US citizens are not supposed to question it, and are considered nuts if we do?”
Indeed. But even more infuriating, to my mind, is the “open letter” against Donald Trump that “fifty former top Republican national security officials” published in the always scurrilous, unspeakably biased New York Slimes. “Most fundamentally,” these has-beens allege, “Mr. Trump lacks the character, values, and experience to be president. He weakens US moral authority as the leader of the free world.” Right. And these fifty warmongers with their mass-murder and worldwide rampages certainly exhibit sterling characters, values, and moral leadership, don’t they?
But then comes the absolute height of hypocrisy: “He appears to lack basic knowledge about and belief in the US Constitution…” As if a single one of these bozos has ever read, much less “believed in,” the Constitution they spent their careers trashing.
God save us from such smug, bloodsucking liars. It’s almost enough to make me vote for The Donald.
