(The Lincoln regime shut down hundreds of opposition newspapers in the Northern states and literally destroyed many of their printing presses. The mail was censored as well. Anyone left in the publishing/printing business had to be pro-war and pro-Lincoln, or else. The image in the Link was the work of a private New York company that was obviously a de facto part of the regime, as were all newspapers in the North after Lincoln’s unconstitutional purge).
