Thanks Dale for posting this story. The initial media reports I read made it seem like Kerry’s position on abortion was the cause of the split. This story reveals the problem was people who objected to a preacher abandoning the gospel of Jesus Christ to preach GOP talking points. This preacher never asks himself if he is really serving God by shrilling for a war-monger like Bush, or why, if Bush is truly committed to restoring a culture of life, he has not endorsed Congressman Ron Paul’s bills restricting federal court jurisdiction over life issues and forbidding the use of federal funds for abortion or “family planning.”
