Hmmm: I Never Think of Sloths And Snails as “Heroes”

Mark Carroll notes,

First it was the military that we were to worship. Then it was the dancing TikTok doctors and nurses in the fake pandemic – sacrificial servants one and all.

Now, not wanting to miss their share of all that heavenly glory, it’s those public servants that move at the blazing speed of a snail, that now constitutes being heroic. I took [a] picture at my local post office today[,]

which showed the COVIDiots’ favorite banner, “Heroes Work Here,” splayed across the building’s front. That claim takes a special level of gall, considering the PO’s abysmal “service” over Christmas and into January.

Meanwhile, Mark adds,

And if postal workers are heroes, then UPS and FedEx employees are Superheroes since they are faster, more efficient, cheaper, etc.

I don’t know about you, but when I think of “hero,” I think of Nathan Hale, Robert E. Lee, George Washington, Thomas Edison, Beethoven, the Apostles, Christian martyrs—not the dimwits and leeches at a bureaucracy.
