Happy Birthday, Murray

March 2, 2011

Today, the great founder of modern libertarianism (that is, anarcho-capitalism), the dean of the Austrian School of economics, the American historian, the inspiration for the Center for Libertarian Studies, the Mises Institute, and LRC, and the sweetest, funniest, hardest-working, most optimistic guy you could ever know–Murray N. Rothbard–would have been 85 today. See his books, David Gordon’s biography, Murray’s LRC archive, his flabbergasting bibliography, and the journals he edited: Left and Right, Libertarian Forum, the Journal of Libertarian Studies, and the Review of Austrian Economics.
