The Grand Canyon of Death

Our Arizona state icon, the Grand Canyon, has claimed two more victims.

Look, folks, it’s a great place to see. But if you knew how many people died in there, you might be calling it the Canyon of Death. This has been going on for quite some time. Even experienced hikers die in there. Everyone wants to go in there. Like any DESERT, there are plenty of opportunities to perish in it, too. But, onward people push. “That won’t happen to me! I KNOW better!” Yeah, well, shake hands of the ghosts of those who also thought that on your way in.

Deserts are deserts no matter how scenic. So, allow me to explain: Deserts are dangerous. Just because the government is charging admission to one does not change that equation. In fact, the government probably knows more about the surface of the moon than the interior of the Grand Canyon. Just sayin’…
